All data in the NASA Ames PAH IR Spectroscopic Database are freely available for download. We do ask you to provide a valid e-mail address in order to track the users of the data.

Three software downloads are available; the AmesPAHdbIDLSuite, the AmesPAHdbPythonSuite and pyPAHdb, which significantly extend the tools available online. Their development is done on GitHub and comprehensive guides on installing and using these software can be found via the Documentation Portal.

The AmesPAHdbIDLSuite is a collection of classes utilizing IDL*'s object programming capabilities and can be used to work with downloaded database XML-files offline on your own machine.

pyPAHdb

pyPAHdb is a Python package specifically aimed at fitting and decomposing astronomical PAH emission spectra and is being developed as part of the awarded James Webb Space Telescope (JWST) Early Release Science (ERS) program titled "Radiative Feedback from Massive Stars as Traced by Multiband Imaging and Spectroscopic Mosaics" (ID: 1288).
